TSD 1911
FPS: 400
Hop-up: Fixed
Magazine capacity: 15 rounds
Gas: CO2 tanks
Overview:
This is a fairly decent non-blow back pistol. It has a high FPS, and great gas usage. Its an all black pistol, with a CO2 tank in the hand-grip (uses skinny mags because of this, which can be found in a 2-pack at Walmart for about 10 bucks) The hop-up is fixed, however the gun had great range and accuracy, probably because of the FPS.
Performance:
Good accuracy and velocity. This has gotten me out of many jams. When I owned this pistol, we mainly did over-night fights, so at night when I didn't feel like lugging my rifle, I'd attach a Light to the rail and use this. One thing that bugged me, this isnt a good pistol to try to rapid fire. Its non-blow back, which for this one means it loads BB's by sliding the barrel forward to load, which if you rapid fire could cause it to jam fairly easily. So really no more than a 2-3 shot burst.
Pros:
High FPS
non-blow back: makes it more accurate in some cases
Great gas usage (about 10-15 mags before needing a tank replacemnt)
Cons:
Easily jammed
non-blow back: if you like realism
Problems:
This is where this gun lets me down. I sold it to a friend after about 5 months of use, and after a month for him the mag release lever broke. He bought another one, and the CO2 tank well wasn't lined up right, so every tank just automatically sprayed out gas as soon as it was inserted.
Overall Score: 5/10
sidenote: the TSD M9 non-blow backs are way better and way more reliable. 3 People I play with have it, and have had it for close to 1 1/2 years, with no problems at all.
